Rhinoplasty aims to improve the aesthetic appearance of the nose and improve shape and function, that is, to breathe better and not notice surgery. With this surgery it molds the tip or the nasal dorsum, its width or length, it corrects the deviations of the septum, and it achieves optimal functionality, always respecting the objective of attaining a nose of natural shape and proportions, following the facial morphological characteristics of each person: their individuality.
Rhinoplasty is performed under propofol sedation anesthesia, and the patient usually stays in the hospital for 24 hours.
The postoperative period is not painful. The patient comes out without tamponade and with a splint that is kept for one week. If the partition is operated, it will require a tamponade for three days. The definitive results are obtained after a few weeks when the inflammation of the nose has disappeared.
In cosmetic nose surgery, the nose must breathe well so that it does not feel operated, but it looks beautiful. We use the two-millimeter endoscope, with which we can visualize in a large size everything we are doing and eliminate visible scars.
Is there any kind of risk?
As with any type of surgical procedure, risks always exist. However, when it comes to rhinoplasty, they are tiny, if not rare. In one of the hypotheses, what can happen is a poorly done intervention that did not result in what was expected.
Note: it is valid to make it clear that we consider an operation performed by a recognized surgeon with considerable experience in the area.
